Hector "Hermes" Serrano

VAMOS A VOLAR SCHOLARSHIP

The "Vamos a Volar" Scholarship was made to honor the life of Brother Hector "Hermes" Serrano. Hector was a brother of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc., and was a very important individual, not only to his fraternity, but also to the Isla Vista community.

Hector was not only a very unique individual, but had a unique personality that would be open to thought and conversation about all aspects of life. Hector was a very generous individual, and sought to be a resource to those in need and always lent a helping hand whenever it was needed by his brothers, or people of his community.

The world and community could use more of the application of Hector's values and morals to spread the positivity that Hector carried with him. Thus, this scholarship is intended to be awarded to those who also showcase the values that Hector embodied and to aid with any expenses to help individuals reach their academic and personal goals.

Scholarship Application will be Due April 20th at 11:59pm. Make sure to input the correct email address and phone number as this will be our form of communication with those that apply. Please note that this scholarship is only open to UCSB Students.
